Welcome to Highlands Ranch
A peaceful, homey community just south of Denver
Highlands Ranch feels like the peaceful, homey neighbor to metropolitan Denver. Located 15 miles to the south, it’s a vibrant community that has really grown into its own in the last decade. It has a booming business market, excellent schools, and expansive green spaces to enjoy both in the city and in the surrounding area.
One of the most notable residences in the area is Highlands Ranch Mansion, and its existence is closely tied to the history of the community. Dating back to the 1800s, it was the main homestead of the area and eventually the land was sold off and residential areas were developed during the Colorado Gold Rush. But it wasn’t until the official Highlands Ranch planned community was created in the 1970s that the area truly began to grow into what it is today.
There are plenty of single-family homes here that reflect the area’s history, however there have been a bountiful crop of newer homes in vibrant neighborhoods developed recently. Communities like BackCountry, Falcon Hills, and Kentley Hills are full of modern homes with gorgeous views and lust worthy amenities.
