Welcome to Parker
A growing Colorado community with a charming small-town feel
Parker is a sprawling town that is growing at a rapid pace, though it maintains a quintessential small-town feel that charms and welcomes newcomers and residents alike. It balances the rural feel with the convenience of its amenities and proximity to the larger metropolitan centers, making it a perfect place for anyone looking for a slower pace of life without the cons of truly rural living.
In the late 1800s, Parker was ranchland, with agriculture and dairy farms sprawling across it. A popular local legend says that the town was established thanks to the one-room building that became known as the Pine Grove Way Station. It was a general store, post office, and general hub of communication and the area developed around it. Parker has seen its share of ups and downs, but in the late 20th Century, it began to be revitalized—growth that continues today.
Most homes in Parker have a more rural feel to them, with larger lots or acreage. It’s not uncommon for there to be barns and animals on some lots. For something smaller and with more of a town feel, it’s easy to find home communities
